Program Description:
Jupiter, the biggest planet orbiting our sun, is large enough to swallow all of the other planets and still have room for more. Despite its size, Jupiter spins faster than any other planet; because of this it is not a perfect sphere but instead a little flattened out at its poles, like a tangerine. It has swirling clouds and the most violent storms in the solar system—including a continuous one three times bigger than Earth. Join us as we use computer animation and satellite images to explore this strange planet and the missions sent to study it.
